DEMusic - Ready to get back to School Concerts!
2021 School Concerts Update
With the 2021 Australian school year started, David is excited to get back into spreading the gospel through his music on Mondays throughout a variety of schools in New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory. With COVID regulations unfortunately still counting out student singing, David has updated his concert sets to incorporate dancing, actions, role playing and movement games to keep the audience engaged. He is nearly booked out for all of Term One, but has lots of dates left for the remainder of the year.

About David Enever Music
Established in 2019 and based from Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, David Enever Music (DEMusic) is run by singer/songwriter David Enever, an Australian primary school teacher with over a decade of experience in Victorian and New South Wales Schools. It aims to assist in Christian faith formation in schools and for the general public through the release of music and by providing concerts.
David's school concerts aim to encourage and support faith formation through stimulating reflection by singing and moving to scriptural based songs. Friendly dialogue, with the occasional 'dad joke', also help to engage student thinking around Christian themes.

You Reap What You Sow
Based on 2 Cor 9:6-11, You Reap What You Sow reflects on the attitude we are challenged to have in life. This attitude being that we give the best of ourselves in all we do, so we can reap a good harvest from it. It goes with the cliche ‘You get out what you put in’ and even pushes towards the concept of karma. The inclusion of a dobro guitar gives this song a unique feel compared to David’s previous work.

Be the Light (Be the Hope) is a collection of some of the songs I regularly perform in concerts. The first few songs link to Old Testament themes and then it transitions to the Gospels through two songs about John the Baptist. From here, most songs link to Jesus gathering His disciples, teaching and performing miracles, while there is also a song about St Paul’s conversion and a reflection on why we say ‘Amen’. In addition to all of these, there is also a song that was written for Father’s Day, which was received and performed well at my school.
A huge thank you to for Matt Swan who played bass and drums for nearly all the songs including these elements and for Grant Luhrs who did all the recording work in the studio. Also a great thank you to the girls and boy, who sang backing vocals for nine of the tracks: Hannah Behan, Maddison Bainbridge, Eve Piltz, Laura Sobolewski, Maggie Kingham, Chloe Kochanski, Charlotte Worrell-Barry, Annabella Xuereb, Madi Norman, Gabriella Mannell, Ella Saxon and Harry Saxon.
